What are Spirulina Capsules

Spirulina is a green-blue algae. The name spirulina is from the Latin word for spiral denoting the physical configuration of the organism when it creates swirling, microscopic strands. Spirulina is one of the few plant sources of vitamin B12, normally found only in animal tissues. A teaspoon of Spirulina supplies 21/2 times the RDA of vitamin B12 and consists of more than twice the amount of this vitamin found in an equivalent helping of liver.
